Heat in Cosmetics Industry
Cosmetics manufacturing heats waxes, oils and emulsions for creams, lotions, lipsticks and balms, then fills and seals them into tubes, jars and bottles. MaxVolt supplies immersion, circulation, drum, cartridge, cast-in and hose heaters for cosmetics plants and filling-machine builders.
Cosmetic formulations are sensitive: overheat an emulsion or a fragrance and the batch is lost. Waxes and butters have to be melted gently, held at temperature through mixing and filling, and moulded or sealed precisely.
MaxVolt designs heaters for these steps with low surface temperatures, stainless construction and accurate control, from raw-material drums to the filling line.
Problems we solve for this industry
Heat-sensitive formulations
Hot heater surfaces can scorch waxes, oils and active ingredients.
Our approach: Low watt-density and indirect (jacket) heating keep surface temperatures gentle.
Batch consistency
Temperature variations between batches change texture and stability.
Our approach: Accurate sensors and correctly sized heaters give repeatable batches.
Hygiene
Heaters must not contaminate products or be hard to clean.
Our approach: Stainless-steel construction and cleanable designs.
Product setting in filling lines
Waxy products cool and set in hoses and nozzles between fills.
Our approach: Heated hoses and nozzle heaters keep product flowing.
Applications & recommended heaters
Melting and mixing vessels
50–90 °CHeating waxes, oils and emulsions for creams, lotions and balms.
Raw-material drum heating
Melting waxes, butters and oils in drums before use.
Lipstick and wax moulding
Heating moulds and melt pots for lipsticks, balms and wax products.
Hot filling
Keeping product fluid in hoses, hoppers and nozzles on filling machines.
Tube and pouch sealing
120–250 °CSealing jaws on tube fillers and sachet machines.

Cosmetics Industry heating — common questions
Use low surface temperatures: a low watt-density immersion heater, a jacketed vessel heated by a circulation heater, or a drum heater with thermostatic control.
