Heat in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods)
FMCG production lines run fast and rarely stop: filling, sealing, shrink-wrapping, labelling, hot-melt gluing and the process tanks that feed them all depend on reliable heaters. MaxVolt supplies cartridge, strip, infrared, hose, band and immersion heaters for FMCG plants and the machine builders that serve them.
On an FMCG line, one failed sealing heater can stop thousands of packs an hour. Heaters have to hold their temperature through constant cycling, be quick to replace and be available when needed.
MaxVolt supplies heaters for every heated point on these lines — from sealing jaws and shrink tunnels to hot-melt hoses and the tanks that prepare soaps, detergents, oils and other products.
Problems we solve for this industry
Line stoppages
A heater failure on a high-speed line costs a lot of output.
Our approach: Heaters built for continuous cycling, in standard sizes that can be kept as spares.
Inconsistent seals
Temperature drift on sealing jaws causes leaking or burnt packs.
Our approach: Cartridge and strip heaters matched to the jaw, with sensors close to the sealing face.
Frequent changeovers
Many SKUs mean frequent changes of film, size and temperature.
Our approach: Responsive heaters that reach new set-points quickly.
Hot-melt hose failures
Hot-melt hoses that lose heat cause glue to set in the line.
Our approach: Heated hoses with built-in sensors to keep adhesive at application temperature.
Applications & recommended heaters
Form-fill-seal and wrapping machines
120–250 °CVertical and horizontal sealing jaws on pouch and flow-wrap machines.
Shrink tunnels and sleeve labelling
Shrinking film and sleeves around bottles, cans and multipacks.
Hot-melt gluing and coding
150–200 °CHeated hoses and guns for carton sealing and labelling.
Process and mixing tanks
40–95 °CHeating oils, fats, soaps and liquid products during preparation.
Bottle and cap moulding
Injection and blow moulding of containers and closures.
